The Theater
The River of Grass ArtsPark is a partnership between The City of Pembroke Pines and the Broward County Cultural Division.
The River of Grass ArtsPark, house to the Susan B. Katz Theater of Performing Arts, is a 442-seat theater with 6 allotted handicapped seating area located at 17195 Sheridan Street, Pembroke Pines, FL 33331
The lobby area has a large concession area as well as a ticket booth for sales. The stage is a generous size of 26 by 34-foot performance area complete with professional stage lighting and sound system. Please call (954) 392-2122 for inquires on renting the Susan B. Katz Theater. **Theater Rentals are only on Saturdays and Sundays.
Procedure & Pricing to Reserve and Rent the Susan B. Katz Theater

- Request must include the following information:
- Name of Company registered with the State (www.sunbiz.org)
- What is the event you are renting for?
- How many people are you expecting for event?
- Date and times for your event
- No Alcohol or Food Permitted
- What are your technical needs? (Mics, Lighting, projectors etc.) – Submit Tech Rider- Which will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis
- $1Millon Dollar General Liability Insurance & Worker’s Comp Insurance required
- Rental is for Theater area ONLY – NO USE OF ANY OTHER AREAS

Base Rent Base Rent includes load-in on the same day and provides for a single performance or event lasting no longer than three (3) hours. Base Rent also includes custodial services, house lights, two (2) corded microphones with stands and (1) podium | $1,000 |
Additional Hours | $150/Hour |
Additional Performances (Additional Day) | $500 |
Rehearsal Day Fee (Rehearsal for event scheduled with City Only) | $100 |
Tech Services (Tech Needs will be evaluated on case-by-case basis) | $60/Hour per Tech |
Security - 2 Guards Required (4 Hour Minimum) | $23.69/Hour per Guard |
Hand- Held Wireless Mics | $50 each per day |
Additional Corded Mics | $25 each per day |
Overhead Mics | $100 per day |
LCD Projector | $50 per day |
*Stage lighting beyond General Illumination will be negotiated on individual basis * Each request will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis for approval |
