At the November 4, 2025, Environmental Advisory Board (EAB) Meeting, the Board unanimously approved the creation of a dedicated sustainability-focused section within the City’s official newspaper. This new feature, called the “Sustainability Spotlight,” will appear in upcoming editions of the City Connect Digital Newspaper.
The Sustainability Spotlight will highlight the City’s ongoing environmental initiatives, progress on Green Plan actions, sustainability tips for residents, upcoming events, and community stories that support a greener Pembroke Pines.
About the City Connect Digital Newspaper
The City of Pembroke Pines publishes a bi-monthly, fully digital, environmentally friendly newspaper available in English and Spanish. Moving to an all-digital format supports the City’s sustainability goals by reducing paper consumption and waste.
