About the City’s Green Plan
The City of Pembroke Pines is committed to sustainability through its Green Plan, a comprehensive roadmap for environmental action and community engagement.
This plan outlines strategies that:
- Conserve natural resources
- Reduce waste and pollution
- Promote energy efficiency
- Encourage sustainable business and development practices
- Educate residents on environmental stewardship

Our Sustainability Goals
The City’s Green Plan identifies several focus areas to guide our sustainability work.

- Water Conservation – Use water wisely through efficient irrigation and Naturescape practices.

- Pollution Prevention – Limit harmful materials such as VOCs and promote healthy indoor air.
- Waste Reduction – Implement the Five R’s: Rethink, Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
- Community Engagement – Educate, inform, and connect residents to sustainability programs.
