Abandoned/Vacant Property Registration

The City Commission of the City of Pembroke Pines adopted Ordinance 1660, which established Chapter 90.20 of the Code of Ordinances [“Abandoned Real Property”]. It is the purpose and intent of Section 90.20 to establish a process to address the amount of abandoned real property located within the City. Further, to specifically establish an abandoned residential property program as a mechanism to protect residential neighborhoods from becoming blighted through the lack of adequate maintenance and security of abandoned properties.

NOTE: Inspection and registration of the property by mortgagee must be done prior to the issuance of a notice of default. Please refer to the Ordinance for specific registration, maintenance and security requirements.

You may obtain a copy of Ordinance 1660 in the Office of the City Clerk, Monday through Thursday, 7AM to 6 PM, or on the City’s website, www.ppines.com. This form must be filed in the Office of the City Clerk, 601 City Center Way, Pembroke Pines, Florida 33025 ALONG WITH APPLICABLE FEES (Please Refer To Ordinance 1660, Rev. 1).
