Purpose

The seven member Arts and Culture Advisory Board meets monthly to develop cultural activities within the City, as well as promote art in public places throughout the City. Ongoing programs include the Glass Gallery exhibits, concerts, juried art competitions, Children’s Holiday in the Pines, Studio 18 in the Pines, and the Annual Arts and Crafts Festival in the Pines, to name a few. Public Art Committee members appointed by Art & Culture Board Members.

Public Art Committee (Art & Culture Board)

The mission of the Public Art Committee is to expand cultural opportunities for residents and visitors and to enhance the appearance of the city through the selection and integration of artwork in a public environment.  A Public Art Program will help to create a stronger sense of community identity and can expand the opportunity for residents and visitors to the City to encounter a variety of cultural experiences.
