Captain Christian S. Rogers has proudly served the City of Pembroke Pines since graduating the 270th session of the Broward County Police Academy in 2009. Prior to joining the Pembroke Pines Police Department as an officer, Captain Rogers attended Florida Atlantic University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History with a Minor in Geography. Currently, he is attending Florida State University in pursuit of a Master’s Degree in Public Administration with a Certificate in Disaster and Emergency Management. Captain Rogers is also a graduate of Tier I and II of the National Tactical Officers Association Command College.
Captain Rogers has served as a Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, and a SWAT Operator. In 2017, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. While in this capacity, he served as a Patrol Sergeant, a Field Training Sergeant, a General Crimes Sergeant, a SWAT Assistant Team Leader, and an Internal Affairs Sergeant. Captain Rogers has also been a Public Information Officer since 2019.
Captain Rogers has completed hundreds of hours in specialized training and leadership courses. He is also an instructor at the Broward County Police Academy as well as one of our departments Active Assailant instructors. He was promoted to the rank of Captain in March of 2023 and is currently assigned to Team 4 Bravo (Day) Shift.
