Captain Stacy Jurgens has proudly served the City of Pembroke Pines since 2005.
After serving as a Road Patrol Officer for two years, Captain Jurgens was selected to be a Field Training Officer until she was promoted in 2010 to the Rank of Sergeant.
As a Sergeant, Captain Jurgens held the following positions: Patrol Sergeant, Special Projects Sergeant, Animal Assistance Program Sergeant, Burglary Suppression Team Sergeant, Crime Analysts Sergeant, and Administrative Sergeant (which included Accreditation, Grants and Research, False Alarm Program, Special Projects, Threat Assessment Team and the School Resource Officer Program).
In 2019, Captain Jurgens was promoted to the Rank of Captain, making her the first female command staff member in the history of the Pembroke Pines Police Department.
Captain Jurgens holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. In addition, Captain Jurgens attended and successfully completed the Executive Leadership Program hosted by Nova Southeastern University, Leadership in Police Organizations and Women in Law Enforcement, as well as thousands of hours in law enforcement training including conducting Threat Assessments and Active School Shooter Training.
Captain Jurgens has received numerous awards and commendations over her career with the police department to include the Administrative Excellence Award.
Captain Jurgens is currently assigned as a Patrol Shift Captain.
