The Frank is pleased to present Inflated, which runs from November 14, 2019 to January 25, 2020.
The concept of volume is turned on its head through this collection of immersive sensory installations in which expansive sculptures are softly buoyant and two dimensional works extrude energetically from the walls.

You are cordially invited to join us on the journey through the discovery of artistic inspiration. The multi talented Studio 18 artists have each partnered with an artist that has served as a source of inspiration for their creativity. Featured works spotlight a large variety of artistic mediums including: sculptures, glasswork, fashion design, acrylic and oil paintings, mixed media and photography. Complementary refreshments will be served. Musical entertainment provided by Jorge Triana of The Music Club of Hollywood.

All children and their families are welcome at the 18th Annual Storybook Festival on Saturday November 16, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at the Pembroke Pines Southwest Regional Library located at 16835 Sheridan Street. The free Storybook Festival brings together children’s literature, art, music, dance, performances, storytelling and the joys of reading into a memorable day.
The first 1,000 children in attendance will receive a free book. Children are encouraged to arrive at the Festival in costume to participate in the Story Book Parade which begins promptly at 11:00 a.m.
Festival Activities include: Children will enjoy free face painting, an arts and crafts tent, meeting storybook characters in the Fantasy Forest, participating in the Storybook Parade, a fire truck, if available, and enjoy the “swappin’ ground” area where children can tell their own stories.

Frank Contemporaries is a pop-up exhibition showcasing emerging artists and creative community resources; an event that offers artists, students, arts professionals and industry insiders the opportunity to present their work, discover new peers and supporters, and foster professional connections.
Frank Contemporaries Spotlight: Artists of Studio 18 on November 21 will showcase the resident artists of Studio 18 in The Pines, Pembroke Pines’ very own arts incubator that offers affordable space and professional development opportunies for emerging and mid-career artists. Featured artists include Ana Aguerrevere, Yochi Yakir-Avin, Laurence Levine and Rey Lozano. This event will include a presentation on upcoming exhibitions, calls to artists, and programs for local artists by Michael Edelberg, the Curator and Community Engagement Coordinator for Studio 18 in The Pines.
This event is free to the public. Complimentary refreshments and hors d’oeuvres will be served.

In this fast-paced workshop, Wynwood artist Ryan the Wheelbarrow will demonstrate high-energy spray painting techniques that combine layering, masking and movement. Students will learn authentic street art techniques using water-based nontoxic spray paints.
Ryan Ferrell -better known as 'Wheelbarrow'- is a talented screen printing performance artist, daily bicycle commuter and the originator of an artistic practice called live fashion vandalism. Since moving to Wynwood in 2003 to join the initial creative movement of the emerging arts district, Wheelbarrow became well-known for his performance art and his award-winning, artist-led tour company, Miami’s Best Graffiti Guide.
