Registration is currently underway so sign up today to run, walk and join the party for a 5K like no other as the City of Pembroke Pines gathers for the 3rd Annual Pines Light Up The Night 5k, benefiting the Pembroke Pines Charter School Foundation, at the Charles F. Frank Contemporaries is a pop-up exhibition showcasing emerging artists and creative community resources; an event that offers artists, students, arts professionals, and industry insiders the opportunity to present their work, discover new peers and supporters, and foster professional connections. Frank Contemporaries will celebrate Black History Month by showcasing the digital paintings of artist Elton Burgest, paintings by Khaulah Naima Nuruddin, as well as a presentation by Al Huggins from the artistic community outreach program Art N’ Soul.     Broward County Library, The City of Pembroke Pines, and The Frank Art Gallery offer children and their caretakers a free, fun-filled literacy experience on the Plaza at the Charles F. Dodge City Center! Walk together outdoors and embark on a self-guided journey through each page of the vibrant children’s book Thank you Omu! by Oge Mora. Free games, snacks, arts and crafts, and photo-ops will be enjoyed by all! The first 200 families to complete the StoryWalk will receive a free copy of the featured children’s book to take home.
