Pembroke Pines, FL (August 8, 2019) – It’s that time to shake, rattle and roll and putting dancing skills to the test as tryouts for the Miami Heat Golden Oldies 2019-2020 Dance Team quickly approaches.  The auditions begin promptly at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at the City of Pembroke Pines Carl Shechter Southwest Focal Point Community Center Campus located at 301 NW 103^rdAvenue in Pembroke Pines (off Johnson Street, one block west of Palm Avenue).  
 
Registration for the auditions to join the most prominent senior dance team in the National Basketball Association  will be available at the door on the day of and begin at 10:00 a.m. Participants are encouraged to pre-register online.  All participants must be at least 60-years of age by audition date and bring a government issued identification. Athletic or dance shoes with non-slip non-marking soles and a red, black, and/or white outfit are required to participate in auditions.  Parking for the event is free.

The Miami HEAT Golden Oldies, going on year 15, have become a fixture in the NBA as the most popular senior citizen dance team.  All dancers must have flexible schedules for rehearsals, games, and appearances during the season.  For details regarding the Golden Oldies, please call (786) 777-4107 or visit www.heat.com.
