Pembroke Pines, FL (July 31, 2019) - Military veterans of the United States are welcome to attend and take part in the Fifth Annual Employment Expo, for both active and retired duty personnel, on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at The City of Pembroke Pines Carl Shechter Southwest Focal Point Community Center Campus located at 301 NW 103rd Avenue in Pembroke Pines (off Johnson Street, one block west of Palm Avenue). The Veterans Employment Expo will be open to the general public beginning at noon.
This expo is an opportunity for veterans to meet directly with hiring managers in Pembroke Pines, from a variety of companies and organizations.
More than 50 different companies and 15 social service agencies are expected to offer their assistance and knowledge to support both the women and men of the United States Military that are wanting to get back into the job market. The annual Veterans Employment Expo is an addition to the City of Pembroke Pines Re-Energize and Re-Connect Initiative. The objective is to provide both housing and resources at the R & R Village, located on the Howard C. Forman Services Campus, for members of the military that are either active or have been honorably discharged.
