Pembroke Pines, FL (June 27, 2019) – The City of Pembroke Pines welcomes both residents, friends and guests for the Annual Fourth of July Celebration at the Pines Recreation Center Festival Grounds located at 7400 Pines Blvd. This free event includes live music, rides, 14 food trucks, a petting zoo, pie eating contest, a breathtaking display of fireworks and much more.
Guests, wearing their red, white and blue colors, can arrive as early as 6:00 p.m. to begin purchasing a wide array of delicious foods such as hamburgers, hot dogs and plenty of other delicacies from the food truck invasion until 9:00 p.m., which includes a beer truck. From 6:00 p.m. to 8:45 p.m., there will be arts and crafts, rides, slides, games, a bounce house, potato sack races, pig races, an agility test and many more fun activities for the kids in attendance. Families can also dance to the Top 40 sounds of the Clique Band from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and special performances on the Main Stage, sponsored by Baptist Health.
There will be three sessions for the pie eating contest: 6:30 p.m.; 7:30 p.m. for kids only; and 8:30 p.m. The petting zoo will have an array of animals including a llama, cow, bull, donkey, turkey, bunnies, chickens etc.
At 9:00 p.m., one of the best fireworks displays in all of South Florida will commence. The beautiful pyrotechnics demonstration will last approximately 20-25 minutes.
Please keep in mind that coolers, personal fireworks and pets are not permitted on the Festival Grounds. For maximized comfort, please bring a chair or blanket for seating.
