Pembroke Pines, FL – (June 13, 2019) Contestants can put their cooking skills to the test as everyone is invited to satisfy their taste buds as the Master Chef “Cops & Donuts” Summer Baking Challenge fast approaches.  The event begins promptly at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 in the main hall of the Carl Shechter Southwest Focal Point Community Center Campus located at 301 NW 103rdAvenue in Pembroke Pines (off Johnson Street, one block west of Palm Avenue).

Participants can showcase their delicious donuts such as chocolate, glazed, jelly, strawberry, blueberry and a regular old-fashioned.  It’s a terrific opportunity to stand out above the rest and go home with some extra cash and bragging rights.  The money prize goes to first, second and third place winners.  All Center members interested in taking part can obtain the necessary forms at the Activities Desk in the Center.  Participants must complete and submit their entry forms by no later than Monday, July 15, 2019.

Only home baked entries, with provided ingredients, will be permitted.  No Store Bought Items Allowed!  All participants must be Center members and in attendance to win (membership to the Center is free).  Participants who enter are reminded to be innovative as the judges, City of Pembroke Pines police officers, are not only looking to indulge their palates with the best tasting donuts, they are also looking for the baked or fried sweet treats that provide the best aroma and presentation.
