Register today to walk, run and join in the fun for a 5K and party like no other as the City of Pembroke Pines gathers for the 2nd Annual Pines Light Up The Night 5k, benefiting the Pembroke Pines Charter School Foundation, at the Charles F. Dodge City Center located at 601 City Center Way in Pembroke Pines on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 6:30 p.m.  This year’s theme is “Peace, Love & Sole.”

Registration is currently underway at www.ppines.com/lightupthenight until February 1, 2019 at the pre-sale price of $30 per person or $40 per person on the day of the race.  Available spots are rapidly filling up. Each participant will get “lit up” as they will be provided with a RUN/LED bracelet, which will change colors and light up at each mile marker.  As runners complete the race, their bracelets will show a variety of colors once they pass under lighted arches and disco balls on the plaza of the City Center.  Competitors will also receive a race t-shirt or racer tank top, pull string backpack, glow necklace and more.  Packet pickup, including a special runners-only coupon, will be available at Dick’s Sporting Goods, 11940 Pines Blvd, Pembroke Pines 33026 on Friday, February 1st from 1-7 p.m.

Lastly, there will be festivities after the run, including a DJ playing favorite 60’s and 70’s tunes, a photo booth, free food samples from local restaurants, raffles prizes that include Gift Cards from Margaritaville, Habit Burger, Home Depot, Ocean Mist, a Jungle Queen Dinner Cruise and much more. For runners age 21+ there will be free beer.

The 5K course is measured and certified to USATF specifications and timed by Split Seconding Timing. Additional race day information including results and photos will be available at www.splitsecondtiming.com.
