Pembroke Pines, FL – (December 11, 2018) Participants can put their cooking skills to the test as everyone is invited to satisfy their taste buds as the Master Chef “Dark or White” Chocolate Baking Challenge fast approaches. The event begins promptly at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 12, 2018 in the main hall of the City of Pembroke Pines Carl Shechter Southwest Focal Point Community Center Campus located at 301 NW 103rdAvenue in Pembroke Pines (off Johnson Street, one block west of Palm Avenue).
It’s a great opportunity to showcase delicious chocolate mousse, brownies, cupcakes, cheesecake or any other dessert containing the key ingredient of white or dark chocolate and go home with some extra cash and bragging rights. The money prize goes to first, second and third place winners. All SWFP members interested in taking part can obtain the necessary forms at the Activities Desk in the center. Participants must fill out and submit their Entry forms by no later than Monday, February 11, 2019.
Only home baked entries, with provided ingredients, will be permitted – NO candy will be accepted. All participants must be SWFP members and in attendance to win. (Membership to the Center is free). For those who enter, remember to be innovative and keep in mind, judges are not only looking to indulge their palates with the best tasting desserts, they are also looking for the sweet treats that provide the best aroma and presentation.
