Pembroke Pines, FL (November 7, 2018) – Calling all runners! Register today and join in the fun for a 5K and party like no other as the City of Pembroke Pines gathers for the 2nd Annual Pines Light Up The Night 5k, benefiting the Pembroke Pines Charter School Foundation, at the Charles F. Dodge City Center located at 601 City Center Way in Pembroke Pines on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. This year’s theme is “Peace, Love & Sole.”
Registration is currently underway until February 1, 2019 at the price of $30 per person or $40 per person on the day of the race. Don’t wait until the last minute and miss out on this fun event as spots are sure to fill up quickly. Each participant will get “lit up” as they will be given a RUN/LED bracelet, which will change colors and light up at each mile marker. As runners complete the race their bracelets will show a variety colors once they pass under lighted arches and disco balls on the plaza of the City Center. Competitors will also receive a race t-shirt or racer tank top.
Lastly, there will be festivities after the run, including a DJ, free food samples from local restaurants, raffles and much more. For runners age 21+ there will be free beer.
The 5K course is measured and certified to USATF specifications and timed by Split Seconding Timing. Additional race day information including results and photos will be available at www.splitsecondtiming.com.
