Pembroke Pines, FL (October 31, 2018) - Thousands were in attendance as families came together to dress up for a night out in Pembroke Pines and enjoy the annual Halloween event Booville, sponsored by BrightStar Credit Union, Memorial Healthcare Systems, American Pediatrics and Naidu Orthodontics, on the plaza, at the Charles F. Dodge City Center, located at 601 City Center Way.
The October 30, 2018 event included pumpkin patches with hidden prizes, movies, a costume contest, themed games and activities, a pre-decorated pumpkin carving contest, trick or treat stations, arts & crafts, Fall-themed photo stations and many more fun activities for the 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. event. To the delights of children dressed up in every costume possible, from The Incredibles and Superman to Mario Brothers, Spider Man and Batman, large assortments of candy and a wide array of fun were in full gear.
Those interested in something more than satisfying their sweet tooth with candy were able to purchase food and drinks at the concessions located inside the City Center. Additionally, Pembroke Pines participated in the Teal Pumpkin project, a program sponsored by The Food Allergy Research and Education Foundation, which educates the public about food allergies in children. The Teal Pumpkin stations gave away non-food treats and held different art activities including recycled ghost projects constructed from bubble wrap and spiders made from tissue paper. Joe DiMaggio Children’s hospital, as they did last year, provided reflective orange backpacks for the children to use and bring home.
