Pembroke Pines, FL (July 30, 2018) – Put your dancing skills to the test and bring the heat as tryouts for the Miami Heat Golden Oldies 2018-2019 Dance Team fast approaches. The event begins promptly at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 7th at the City of Pembroke Pines Carl Shechter Southwest Focal Point Community Center Campus located at 301 NW 103rdAvenue in Pembroke Pines.
If you are age 60 and above and think you can dance, then give yourself an opportunity to show that age is just a number and join the most renowned senior dance team in the NBA. Strut your stuff and groove to the music in the Miami Heat team colors of red, white and black and show the judges what this year’s Golden Oldies team could be missing…You!
Registration for the auditions will be available at the door on the day of and begin at 10:00 a.m. Participants are encouraged to pre-register online. Pre-registration will close Thursday August 2nd at 4 p.m. All participants must be at least 60-years young by audition date and bring a government issued identification. Dance or athletic shoes with non-slip non-marking soles and a red, black, and/or white outfit are required to participate. Parking for the event is free.
The Miami HEAT Golden Oldies, going on their 14th year, have become a fixture in the National Basketball Association as the most popular senior citizen dance team.
