Pembroke Pines, FL…October 24, 2017... The Annual City of Pembroke Pines Veterans Day Ceremony at the City of Pembroke Pines Memorial Park, located at 601 City Center Way, will take place on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 12:00 noon. The annual ceremony honors members of the United States Military with the presentation of colors by the Pembroke Pines Police and Fire Department Honor Guard, guest speakers from the United States Southern Command, patriotic music played by band students from the Pembroke Pines Charter Middle School West Campus and lunch for Veterans and guests. “We greatly appreciate the sacrifices made by the men and women who have served and continue to serve in the United States Military. Residents of Pembroke Pines and throughout America enjoy the benefits of our great nation thanks to the men and women, living and deceased, who have served our great United States of America,” said Mayor Frank C. Ortis.

Commemorative bricks honoring United States Military Veterans and loved ones will be available for purchase. The bricks are installed at the base of the Pembroke Pines Veterans Memorial. Bricks sizes: 4” x 8” brick offers three lines and a total of 20 characters per line for $50.00 or an 8” x 8” which offers six lines and a total of 20 characters per line for $95.00. A memento duplicate “minibrick” is included in the fee, for information about Memorial Bricks please call 954-392-2116.
