Pembroke Pines, FL…October 19, 2017…Year round the City of Pembroke Pines Recreation and Cultural Arts Department offers cultural arts classes for children, teens and adults. Regardless of skill level, classes will satisfy the need for and perhaps inspire greater creativity. Advanced registration is necessary. Payment in cash and/or check only. Some classes are subject to a nonresident fee.

Donnith H. Fletcher Art and Cultural Center:  7960 Johnson Street. Classes offered for ages three to adult.
Susan B. Katz River of Grass ArtsPark:  17189 Sheridan Street. Classes offered for ages eight to sixteen years.
Studio 18 in the Pines:  1101 Poinciana Drive. Classes offered for ages eighteen and older.

Guitar Lessons 
Ages eight through adult are offered based on age and in 45-minute sessions. Dates: Monday or Tuesday Time: 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. or
Date: Saturday Time: 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Piano Lessons 
Ages eight through adult are offered based on age and in 45-minute sessions.

Awesome Art for Kids
Ages eight to eleven, Day: Saturday Time: 10:00 a.m.

Petite Picassos
Ages five to seven, Day: Saturday  Time: 10:00 a.m., 12:30pm

Teen Mixed Media
Ages 12 to 16,   Day: Monday  Time: 6:00 p.m.

Teen Art Experience
Ages 12 to 16,  Day: Tuesday Time: 6:00 p.m.

Life Drawing Class:
Class takes place on the last Thursday of the month from 7:00–9:00 p.m. Session Fee: $15 includes instruction and drawing boards. Students supply art materials. Please call Studio 18 in the Pines at 954.961.6067, for more information.


Oil Painting an Introduction:
Artist/Instructor Maria Wieder teaches students to develop successful painting techniques through the use of materials, composition and sketching.
