Pembroke Pines, FL…August 8, 2017 … Join the City of Pembroke Pines Carl Shechter Southwest Focal Point Community Center where membership is free!  Visitors will always find something to do at The Center where activities, classes (some are even free) are open to people 18 years or older.  Visit The Center to find out what the hubbub is about, at the Pembroke Pines Carl Shechter SWFP Community Center located at 301 N.W. 103^rd Avenue, Pembroke Pines.

Flagler Museum Palm Beach Trip- August 25, 2017 - Experience America’s Gilded or Golden Age as you tour this 75-room mansion; learning about Henry Flagler and his effect on Florida and American History. Friday, August 25, 2017, departs 9:30 a.m. $17.00 per person - CASH ONL. For SWFP members only. Price includes Museum admission and transportation to and from the center only.  Lunch at Jersey Mike’s Subs (purchased on your own). This trip involves a moderate amount of walking – wear comfortable shoes.

Sixth Annual Senior Spanish Spelling Bee to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month - September 12, 2017 - 12:30 p.m. in the Main Hall. Prizes will be awarded to First Place, Second Place and Third Place winners!  Individuals who are interested in participating in this competition should sign up at the Activities Desk. Registration deadline: September 8, 2017. For SWFP members only.
 
COPACABANA Night Dinner Dance with Live Entertainment by Melina - September15, 2017 - Get ready to party Latino style and dance the night away! Authentic Latin food will be served and entertainer “Melina” will be providing the music! Friday, September 15, 2017.  $10.00 per person. Buffet dinner at 5:30 p.m. (reservations required).
