“Sweet as a Peach Baking Challenge”





Pembroke Pines, FL…July 26, 2017 …Master Chef “Sweet as a Peach” Baking Challenge participants enjoyed taking advantage of peach season. The desserts, all made from succulent fresh peaches, were as original as was their presentation. The judges faced difficult challenges of perfect peach taste vs. perfect peach presentations as they weighed each tongue tingling, sweet and tart dessert combinations.  Nine members from the Pembroke Pines Carl Shechter SWFP Community Center entered the contest, which awarded not only bragging rights for the best peach dessert but awarded cash prizes for winners of First, Second and Third Place.  
 
Judges Edel Travieso from Venergy, Antonina Gaynor, LPN from Easter Seals Adult Day Care and Emilio Gonzalez, owner of Emilio's Café admitted they enjoyed the tasty challenge! Winners of the 2018 Sweet as A Peach Master Chef Challenge were as follows: First Place was awarded to Sandra Levine for her Peach Cheesecake, Second Place was awarded to Natasha Beaubrin for her Perfectly Peach Cake and third place was awarded to Edith Lopez for her Peach Cobbler.  
 
Bakers stay tuned, The Center will hold its’ Annual Holiday Themed Master Chef Challenge in December, the date and challenge theme will be announced in October!
