Ribbon Cutting and Dedication Ceremony

Jack McCluskey Rainbow Park
June 28, 2017 - 10:00 a.m.

Pembroke Pines, FL…June 21, 2017…Due to the inclement weather of June 6, 2017, the City of Pembroke Pines Ribbon Cutting and Park Dedication Ceremony to honor Jack McCluskey will now take place on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the neighborhood park located at 9201 N.W. 19th Street in the Rainbow Lakes section of Pembroke Pines.

The Jack McCluskey Rainbow Park honors the 48-year resident who is a former City Commissioner and three time Vice Mayor.  The park features eight lighted outdoor racquetball courts, a shaded walking/jogging/bike path, and a covered tot lot/playground.

McCluskey and his wife Gloria raised their family in the Pasadena Lakes section of Pembroke Pines, where he began his lifelong service to Pembroke Pines as a Charter Member (1969) and later President of the Lakes Homeowners Association. In the ensuing forty years, McCluskey has held positions on dozens of City boards and committees, in addition to serving three terms on the Commission; he served on the boards of the South Broward Drainage District and the Broward League of Cities. McCluskey now serves as the City of Pembroke Pines Historian.

“We are recognizing Jack for his dedicated and continuous service to the residents and employees of Pembroke Pines,” said Mayor Frank C. Ortis.

Light refreshments will follow the Ribbon Cutting and Dedication ceremony. For more information, contact the Special Events Office at 954-392-2116.
