Pembroke Pines, FL… June 6, 2017… Year round the City of Pembroke Pines Recreation and Cultural Arts Department offers cultural arts classes to interest people of every age. Regardless of skill level, the classes for children, teens and adults will satisfy the need for, and perhaps inspire greater creativity. Advanced registration is necessary and some classes are subject to a non-resident fee. Ceramics and Clay Workshops and/or Classes:  Artist/Instructor John Antczak offers individual and/or group classes for students of any skill level. Learn hand-building techniques of clay pinching, coiling, soft slab, hard slab work, and glazing techniques. Life Drawing Class: Class takes place on the last Thursday of the month from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Session Fee: $15 includes instruction and drawing boards. Students supply art materials. Please call Studio 18 in the Pines at 954.961.6067, for more information. 

Oil Painting an Introduction: Artist/Instructor Maria Wieder teaches students to develop successful painting techniques through the use of materials, composition and sketching. Art Exhibitions at Studio 18 in the Pines:  The community is welcome to visit Studio 18 in the Pines located at 1101 Poinciana Drive in Pembroke Pines, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and/or on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Admission and parking are free.
