Pembroke Pines, FL… March 22, 2017…. Registration is underway for a brand new Spring Break Soccer Camp held from April 10th through April 14, 2017, for boys and girls 6 to 16 years of age, at the West Pines Soccer Park and Nature Preserve, 350 SW 196th Avenue, Pembroke Pines, the same location as the camp.  The soccer registration office is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  Camp is limited to Pembroke Pines residents. To register, please bring the parent/guardian driver's license and the child's original birth certificate and a photocopy of each document. Passports are not accepted. Fee: $200.00. Payment:  Cash, check or money order only. 
 
Hosted by the City of Pembroke Pines Recreation and Cultural Arts Department, the Spring Break Soccer Camp introduces campers to soccer fundamentals including dribbling, ball-control, footwork, goalie training and throw-ins; while more experienced, players will work on refining skills. Campers should wear sunscreen, bring lunch, snacks, water and a towel. Campers may be dropped off at 8:00 a.m. and picked up no later than 5:00 p.m. or be subject to a late fee.
 
Those interested in joining the soccer family of players, coaches, referees or community service volunteers, may pick up a Coach/Volunteer application at the West Pines Soccer Park. Call the office at 954.538.3696 or request an application by emailing Renee at rnunez@ppines.com.  The application includes information on how to become a volunteer with the City soccer program.  All coaches and volunteers are fingerprinted, issued a City ID processed by the Pembroke Pines Police Department and are certified by the City through NAYS (National Alliance of Youth Sports). The Soccer Office is located at the West Pines Park on the corner of 196th and Pines Blvd (behind the Speedway Shopping Center).
