Lovers of art and the outdoors will enjoy the 19th Annual Arts and Crafts Festival In the Pines on March 11th and 12th 2017 at the Pembroke Pines Academic Village, 17189 Sheridan Street (west of I-75). The Art Festival will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission and parking are free.
Over 75 artists will offer paintings, photography, sculpture, wood, glass, mixed media, drawings, fine handcrafts, plants and jewelry. The family friendly event includes music, food and a craft tent where children can create their own masterpiece.“It is difficult to believe our Art Festival is now in its 19th year. When our Art and Culture Board established this event our hope was to see the Festival grow to become a much anticipated event for residents and artists alike, and we have not been disappointed, ” said Rose Colombo, Chairperson of the Pembroke Pines Cultural Advisory Board.
“The Arts and Crafts Festival in the Pines strives to provide unique and award winning art which appeals to every age and budget,” said Holly Bonkowski, Division Director of Cultural Arts for the City of Pembroke Pines. “With thirty-two fully developed recreation facilities covering more than 975 acres, the Recreation and Cultural Arts Department annually serves thousands of people of all ages and abilities by providing safe, clean and well supervised parks.
