This is an educational and informative presentation by Dr. J. Michael Butler on Monday, February 9, 2026 from 6-7 PM in the City Commission Chambers, located at 601 City Center Way.

In this presentation Dr. J. Michael Butler debunks the myth of “Florida exceptionalism” in relation to the Black freedom struggle and demonstrates how this history remains relevant in modern America for better and worse.
