Pembroke Pines Reveals New Wrapped Traffic Boxes

Pembroke Pines, FL (October 2, 2025) -- The City of Pembroke Pines has recently created a new set of five traffic boxes, wrapped in September, across different locations throughout the city. The artwork for this set of boxes are Poster Winner designs from the city’s previous years’ Art Festivals.

Locations

•    2020 - Heads Up Tammy Seymour: Hiatus Rd & Sheridan St

•    2021 - Marbles by Ana Aguerrevere: Taft St & Hiatus Rd

•    2022- Scarf Dancer by Judy Nunno: Dykes Rd & NW 12th St

•    2024 - Guardian of the Ethereal Garden by Larissa Meek: 172nd Ave & 9th St

•    2025 - Pedro the Parrot by Seke: SW 14th St & 184th Ave

These traffic boxes are wrapped in art to add life to ordinary items and locations residents and visitors may overlook during busy days. The City of Pembroke Pines is committed to engaging the community through art, featuring Public Art as a powerful tool for expressing community values, enhancing the environment, and fostering a sense of place.  This  helps to inspire dialogue, creativity, and community identity.

“Pedro the Parrot” by artist Seke has been selected as the official Poster Winner for the Pembroke Pines Festival of the Arts, taking place November 8–9, 2025.
