2025 Mayor’s Chess Challenge 

Pembroke Pines, FL (April 10, 2025) -- The 10th annual Mayor’s Chess Challenge in Pembroke Pines is being held on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at the Pembroke Lakes Golf Club 19, located at 10500 Taft Street. This is a free event which provides an opportunity for players of all ages and skill levels to join in the fun with elected officials and community leaders.  

Event Details 

This event is a friendly series of chess meet-ups in over 19 different cities to draw attention to the benefits of chess in both the academic environment and throughout the community and will be making its final stop in Pembroke Pines. There will also be a no stress rookie section for anyone who wants to have fun, make friends, and get better at chess. The chess challenges support Scholastic Chess, which has been steadily growing throughout the years. More than 100 boys and girls of all ages have attended the Mayor’s Chess Challenge in Pembroke Pines in previous years. For more information, please call 954-392-2116.
