Sensory Saturday: Chill Vibes, Creative Minds - Autism Awareness
Pembroke Pines, FL (April 2, 2025) – Everyone is welcome to start their weekend with a gentle, sensory-friendly morning at The Frank Art Gallery. In honor of Autism Acceptance Month, gallery doors are opening early for Sensory Saturday—a special quiet-time experience designed for neurodiverse friends and families which will be held on Saturday, April 12, from 9 AM- 11 AM at The Frank C. Ortis Art Gallery, located at 601 City Center Way. April is Autism Acceptance/Awareness Month, a time to call attention to this wide spectrum disorder, educate the public and advocate for the needs of individuals with autism.

Before the gallery opens to the public, visitors are welcome to explore the gallery in a low-stimulation environment featuring soft lighting, reduced sound, cozy bean bag calm zones, and access to sensory tools like fidget toys, weighted lap pads, and noise-canceling headphones. Additionally, there will be hands-on, sensory-friendly art-making activities.
It's a judgment-free zone where everyone can feel safe, seen, and inspired. This event is free and open to all ages.
