Pembroke Pines, FL (September 3, 2024) – The Carl Shechter Southwest Focal Point Community Center is hosting its annual Veterans Employment Expo on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, from 9 am to 1 pm. Doors will be open to the public starting at 11 am. The Expo will be held at the Center located at 301 NW 103rd Ave.

Expo Details

The Veterans Employment Expo gives those in attendance the opportunity to meet and talk with more than 25 different hiring managers from a variety of companies and organizations and also provides veteran resources to help veterans financially, medically, and more. 

This Expo is an extension of the City of Pembroke Pines Re-Energize and Re-Connect Initiative whose goal is to provide resources and housing at the R&R Village Veterans Housing, established in 2015 and located on the Howard C. Forman Services Campus, for active and honorably discharged members of the military. SWFP MEMBERSHIP 

Registration is FREE for those over 60 and a $20.00 annual membership for those 59 and under. For more information about the Center, its future events, rental space availability or classes, please ask for the Activities Desk when calling or visit, The Carl Shechter Southwest Focal Point Community Center Campus. For more information residents may call 954-450-6888. Regular hours are Monday-Friday 9 AM to 5 PM.
