An Ultimate 63rd Birthday Bonanza
Celebrating Pines Day
Pembroke Pines, FL (March 22, 2023) – The City of Pembroke Pines is hosting its 63rd Annual Pines Day with an ultimate western-themed Birthday Bonanza on Saturday, April 22, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Charles F. Dodge City Center, located at 601 City Center Way.
All are invited to enjoy the festivities and celebrate the City of Pembroke Pines’ Birthday. Families and friends can mosey on over and enjoy western themed activities all afternoon. With free rides, games, and activities, including a Petting Farm. Visitors can meet and greet some of the most popular “Western Theme” children’s characters between the hours of 4:30-6:30pm and learn to lasso with the “Cowgirl Circus” entertainer as she roams through the Plaza.
The little sheriffs in attendance will be able to take part in the hunt for give-a-ways every hour, which will ultimately create a festival sheriff costume. For the Rhinestone Cowgirls ages 3-16, they can take part in the Royal Court Pageant that will be held in conjunction with the celebration. All participants must be Pembroke Pines residents, and all participants will compete for the Queen and Princess title in their age group. Applications can be found on the city’s website starting 3/22/23.
There will also be a KIDS KONNECTION Business Expo available for families to learn about local resources for their children. And, on the Kids Stage, families can watch musical and dance performances and enjoy entertainment throughout the day.
There will be plenty of food trucks and watering holes to keep the energy up so everyone can spend more time partying. Two giant Cupcake Towers filled with free “themed” cupcakes for the first 1,000 singing happy birthday at 6 pm will be a highlight before the evening concludes with dancing and a free Concert by Tim Charron- Country Rock with a Twist of Lime.
