Pembroke Pines, FL (November 9, 2021) – The City of Pembroke Pines cordially invites Pembroke Pines residents to attend The City of Pembroke Pines annual Snowfest and Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at the Charles F. Dodge City Center located at 601 City Center Way in Pembroke Pines from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Snow is in the South Florida forecast for the event as 75 tons of it will be showcased. Tis the Season for Freezin’ so enjoy free rides, holiday activities, visits from Santa Claus himself, musical performances with over 300 singers and dancers taking the holiday stage and much more. New to Snowfest this year is the Ugly Sweater contest, where roaming judges will hand out prizes between 5:00-6:00 p.m. for those showcasing the most hideous holiday sweaters imaginable. At 6:30 p.m., the tree Lighting Ceremony in the Plaza will take place to officially kick off the holiday season. Concessions and food trucks will be available for food and drink purchases and both parking and the event are free of charge.
The event is open to Pembroke Pines residents only! Tickets are required for everyone attending the event and can be purchased in advance beginning on Monday, November 15th at the Pembroke Lakes Tennis Center located at 10500 Taft Street in Pembroke Pines. Tickets are free and will need to be obtained in person with proof of residency prior to the event. Ticket availability is limited and on a first come, first served basis. Additionally, tickets will be available for pickup Monday- Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and both Saturday - Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. For additional information on tickets, the tree lighting ceremony or to become a vendor or sponsor, please visit www.ppines.com/specialevents or call the Special Events Office at 954-392-2116
