Pembroke Pines, FL – (October 18, 2020) The City of Pembroke Pines Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department welcomes residents, friends and guests to enjoy the easy listening of a Free Jazz in the Pines concert featuring Jazz Vocalist Melina Almodovar “La Muneca de La Salsa” on Sunday, October 24, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the plaza, at the Charles F. Dodge City Center located at 601 City Center Way in Pembroke Pines.
While enjoying the musical concert and outdoors, those in attendance can set up lawn chairs, spread a blanket, grab some snacks, refreshments and take in an enjoyable performance with family and friends.
No pets are allowed. All concerts are held weather permitting and are subject to change.
The City of Pembroke Pines Art and Cultural Division has brought back Live Painting Artists that will accompany and complement the highlighted musician. The live painting artist for this particular show is Alejandra Gotera.
The family friendly Jazz in the Pines concert series includes 3 concerts over the next 3 months rounding out 2021, held on Sunday afternoons. The next Jazz concert will take place on Sunday, November 21, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will feature the band Sound of Vision with Live Painting Artist Marcos Conde.
Lastly, As the COVID-19 pandemic continues in the state of Florida, The City of Pembroke Pines encourages the wearing of facemasks and social distancing.
