Pembroke Pines, FL (August 17, 2021) – Calling all music lovers! Don’t miss a show like no other as The City of Pembroke Pines and Embrace Music Foundation present "Rhythms in Conversation”, conducted by Grammy-Nominated Reggae Ambassador and percussionist William Stewart. This popular event takes place on Monday, August 30, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at the Charles F. Dodge City Center, located at 601 City Center Way in Pembroke Pines.
"Rhythms in Conversation," is a free interactive percussion workshop intended to encourage stress reduction while promoting both unity and harmony. Rhythms in Conversation engages and empowers our communities at large.
The program starts by introducing percussion instruments from all around the world, including Africa, South America, Cuba, and the Caribbean. Various rhythms and their cultural evolution are explored from communication to celebration. This presentation is designed to tune and energize the body physically, mentally, and spiritually.
A limited number of percussion instruments will be available to distribute, but those in attendance may bring their own and join in the fun. Participants at all levels of expertise are encouraged. Attendees will be invited to sing and dance along, or just sit back and relax. All guests should bring their own chairs or spread a blanket for utmost comfort.
