Pembroke Pines, FL (August 12, 2021) – It’s that time to shake, rattle, roll and put those dancing skills to the test as tryouts for the Miami Heat Golden Oldies 2021-2022 Dance Team quickly approaches. The auditions begin promptly at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 30, 2021 at the City of Pembroke Pines Carl Shechter Southwest Focal Point Community Center Campus located at 301 NW 103rdAvenue in Pembroke Pines (off Johnson Street, one block west of Palm Avenue).
Registration for the auditions to join the most prominent senior dance team in the National Basketball Association will be available at the door on the day of and begin at noon. Participants are encouraged to pre-register online. Pre-Registration will conclude on Thursday, August 26, 2021. All participants must be at least 60-years of age by audition date and bring a government issued identification. Athletic or dance shoes with non-slip non-marking soles and an outfit representing the Miami Heat colors of red, black, and/or white are required to participate in auditions. Parking for the event is free.
The Miami HEAT Golden Oldies, going on year 17, have become a staple in the NBA as the most popular senior citizen dance team. All dancers must have flexible schedules for rehearsals, games, and appearances throughout the season.
