Pembroke Pines, FL – (January 22, 2020) Contestants can put their baking skills to the test as everyone is invited to satisfy their taste buds as the Master Chef Chocolate Baking Challenge quickly approaches. The event begins promptly at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 in the main hall of the City of Pembroke Pines Carl Shechter Southwest Focal Point Community Center Campus located at 301 NW 103rd Avenue in Pembroke Pines (off Johnson Street, one block west of Palm Avenue).
It’s a great opportunity to showcase delicious chocolate mousse, brownies, cupcakes, cheesecake or any other dessert containing the key ingredient of chocolate and go home with bragging rights and some extra cash. The money prize goes to first, second and third place winners. All SWFP members interested in taking part can obtain the necessary forms at the Activities Desk in the center. Participants must fill out and submit their Entry forms by no later than Tuesday, February 4, 2020.
Only home baked entries, with provided ingredients on your entry form, will be permitted – NO candy will be accepted. Only one dessert item per person and space is limited. All participants must be SWFP members and in attendance to win. For those who enter, remember to be creative and keep in mind, judges are not only looking to indulge their palates with the best tasting chocolate desserts, they are also looking for the sweet treats that provide the best appearance and aroma.

Adults 60 years of age or older may register for the free SWFP membership, adults 18 thru 59 years of age can register with an annual fee of $20.
