Tickets are now available for "Can We Make A Deal," a live game show fundraiser that is being held in Pembroke Pines to benefit Relay for Life, in conjunction with the American Cancer Society. Taking place on Friday, May 3, 2019 at 5:30 p.m., it’s based on the hit television game show “Deal or No Deal,” where participants try to “beat the bank” with the help of host Howie Mandell. In the city’s event, however, Mayor Frank C. Ortis will step in the hosting shoes for this fun and entertaining evening. “Can We Make a Deal?” will be held at the Susan B. Katz’s River of Grass ArtsPark Theater, located at 17189 Sheridan Street. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased online at www.ppines.com/CanWeMakeADeal. Simply click Donate, Other Amount and $10 for every ticket ordered. On the night of the event, each person who purchased a ticket (must have a ticket or show online receipt to enter) will receive one chance to be on the show. Additional raffle tickets will be sold at the door for additional chances.
Simple rules of the game will be explained at the event. However, to play, three tickets will be pulled for the three players of the game, which is played just like “Deal or No Deal.” A major difference is that at the end of the game, when the player hits the Deal button, his or her score is kept. After the third person plays, the player with the highest score picks first from three fabulous prize packages. In between each game, there will also be raffle drawings (must be present to win) with the same tickets for additional chances to win a prize. For more information, please contact Traci Richards at trichards@ppines.com. All money raised fuels the American Cancer Society’s fight against cancer.
