All ages are welcome to join the City of Pembroke Pines for a relaxing afternoon at the Charles F. Dodge City Center, located at 601 City Center Way, for free Jazz in the Pines on Sunday, March 24, 2019 from 3-5 p.m. with the Glyn Dryhurst Dixieland Jazz Band and Live Painting Artist Lori Pratico; and on Sunday, May 19, 2019 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. which features the sounds of Tito Puente Jr and his Salsa Band. And, as part of the jazz series, concert goers can enjoy live painting artist Gregory Dirr. Sponsored by Memorial Health Care System, the family-friendly Jazz in the Pines concert series includes nine concerts every year, once a month on Sunday afternoons, weather permitting. Those who attend are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs for seating. Enjoyed by hundreds, these concerts are a great break from busy schedules, and give people a chance to listen to the sound of Jazz outdoors, and enjoy art.
