Summerfest traditionally features musicians and soloists from acclaimed orchestras throughout Europe, including Orchestra Sinfonica di Roma, Opera Orchestra of Bulgaria, Mission Symphony Orchestra of Switzerland, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande and others, performing several styles of classical and popular music for strings, all joined in a cultural exchange by principal musicians of our own Symphony of the Americas.
Nourish your artistic soul under the baton of Artistic Director, Maestro James Brooks-Bruzzese, in the music of Hubert Parry, Vivaldi, Humperdinck, Beethoven, Dvorak, Mozart. Included also is a commissioned composition by Italian composer in residence, Lorenzo Turchi-Floris, for marimba and string orchestra. Soloists are the festival’s Concertmaster, Orlando Forte of Cuba, the Symphony of the Americas Principal Trumpet, Claudio Osorio, Glenn Basham, Concertmaster of the Naples Philharmonic, and acclaimed international organist Tim Brumfield, among others. Event is being held at the Susan B. Katz Theater located at 17189 Sheridan Street, Pembroke Pines on Thursday, August 8th at 7:00PM. This is a free event.
