All ages are invited to explore literacy through art outdoors on Saturday, February 16, 2019, from 10 a.m. to noon. In partnership with Broward County Library, The Frank offers children and their caretakers a free, fun-filled literacy experience on the Plaza at the Charles F. Dodge City Center located at 601 City Center Way.In an effort to promote literacy, the arts and educational opportunities for family bonding, StoryWalk in the Pines combines the joys and cognitive benefits of reading a delightful children’s book with the refreshing stimulation of outdoor activity. Participants can walk together outdoors, enjoy a self-guided journey through each page of the vibrant children’s book “Maybe Something Beautiful” by F. Isabel Campoy and Theresa Howell, and participate in free games, arts and crafts. The first 200 families to complete StoryWalk in the Pines will receive a free copy of the featured children’s book to take home.
