For 21 years, Relay for Life of Pembroke Pines has been celebrating hope. This year’s Relay for Life will be held on April 5, 2019 at 6 p.m. to April 6, 2019 at 9 a.m. The event takes place at the Walter C. Young Middle School track, located at 901 NW 129 Ave. Over the years, the City has raised over two and half million dollars to fight cancer via this Relay for Life event. The Relay is an organized overnight community fundraising walk where teams of people camp out around a track and members of each team take turns walking around the track. Each team is asked to have a member of the track at all times to signify that cancer never sleeps. There will be entertainment, music, food and fun all night long that builds camaraderie in a family-friendly environment for the entire community.
