Two key factors contributing to weather safety during hurricanes are preparing in advance (all year round) for the risks, and to act on those preparations when alerted by emergency officials. The City of Pembroke Pines has compiled information to help our residents before, during and after a storm to ensure their safety, their family and property. Communication is Key.
We will consistently add and provide you with the most up-to-date information regarding hurricanes on this website, through our social media, YouTube, our newspaper City Connect and Pines Media TV (all of which are accessible on this website). We're in this together.
Emergency/Urgent Situation Hotline - 954-565-9571 As part of everyone’s preparations during hurricane season, saving emergency/urgent situation hotline phone numbers is an important step. The City of Pembroke Pines activates its emergency hotline phone number, 954-565-9571, when its Emergency Operation Center (EOC) goes to a Level 2 – Partial Activation or a Level 1 – Full Activation. This phone number provides information to citizens reporting or asking questions about relevant information on such topics as power outages, mandatory evacuations, shelter information, road closures, closures of any city functions or properties and updated transportation schedules. Please put 954-565-9571 in a convenient location so it can be accessed easily when needed.
