PembrokePines residents are encouraged to get involved in creating wildlife-friendly
gardens and landscapes in their own yard, as well as throughout the communityas part of a ‘Community Wildlife Habitat’ program. In March 2014, the City of
Pembroke Pines registered to become a National Wildlife Federation (NWF)‘Community Wildlife Habitat.’
Community
Wildlife Habitats is a national recognition program for neighborhoods, towns,cities, and counties that recognizes and celebrates community wide efforts to
provide habitats for wildlife and make gardening for wildlife a priority.Communities certify their individual backyards, school grounds, and public
space as NWF Certified Habitat.
