The City of Pembroke Pines is celebrating its 58th Birthday on Pines Day with a carnival theme – The Greatest City on Earth. Pines Day will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018 from noon to 6 p.m. at the Charles F. Dodge City Center, located at 601 City Center Way.

The Children’s Performance Stage will be set up in the plaza area for a variety of performances, singers and dancers.  The celebration will also include stilt walkers, jugglers, strolling performers, carnival- style rides and make and take craft booths. Kids can STEP RIGHT UP and be part of their own show, with interactive tightrope, juggling and stilt walking play areas. Everyone is invited to try their luck at the many carnival games to win prizes.


Kids Konnection Business Expo will keep all kids and parents informed of what there is to do in Pembroke Pines and surrounding areas. Vendors will have give-a-ways, raffles and special treats for those who visit their booth spaces.


The Royal Court Pageant will take place inside the City Center Commission Chambers where a queen and princess will be crowned in each category. Applications are now available. Contestants must be Pembroke Pines residents and provide a completed application by April 19. Pageant will start promptly at 1:00pm.  Little Miss Sweetheart Application - Miss Pembroke Pines Application


The 10ft Birthday Cake will be on display inside the lobby at City Center from 12-3:00pm. Then at 3:30pm guest are invited to the “Party on the Plaza” Cake Cutting Ceremony. Everyone will be treated a piece of cake.


Pembroke Pines residents will be treated to a special birthday show inside the Charles F. Dodge City Center Great Hall. The Flippin Acrobatic and Aerial Show will take place between 5:00-6:00pm. Tickets for the show will be issued on Saturday, April 28 starting at 12:00noon at the box office. A Total of (4) Four Tickets will be issued to Pembroke Pines residents showing proof of residency and a valid photo ID.  Seating is limited and tickets will be offered on a first come, first served basis. 


Bring an appetite and the entire family as the Savor Concessions will be open for you to shop and taste some yummy treats throughout the day while enjoying the fun.
