The 22nd Annual Honorable Mayor Frank C. Ortis Golf Tournament, benefiting the Pembroke Pines Charter School Foundation, will be held on April 19 beginning at 11:30 am at the Pembroke Lakes Country Club, located at 10500 Taft Street. Golfers will enjoy the rolling greens of the John Stanford designed 18-hole course, contests, a deluxe lunch and dinner buffet, prizes, a live auction and awards. Over the years this event has raised over one million dollars, thanks to the generosity of sponsors and golfers. The largest municipally run charter school system in the country, the Pembroke Pines Charter School System is recognized for its innovation and academic excellence. All proceeds from the Golf Tournament will directly enhance each student’s educational experience. The Pembroke Pines Charter School Foundation is a non-profit organization that directly provides financial support and educational scholarships for the Pembroke Pines Charter School System. - 11:30 am Registration, driving range and putting contests open
- 12 noon Lunch and beverages served
- 1:20 pm Players in carts for instructions
- 1:30 pm Shotgun start
- 6:00ish Return to clubhouse for cocktails, dinner auction and awards
