All ages are invited to join the City of Pembroke Pines in honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday, January 15, 2024, between the hours of 10 am -12 pm (noon) at the Charles F. Dodge City Center, located at 601 City Center Way. This will be a morning filled with poetry, speeches and performances honoring the man who had a dream. Winners of the Student Poetry Contest will also recite their winning entries during the event. Local officials will pay tribute to Dr. King, as well as local dancers and performers. A special concert performance will be held by the Voices of Liberty. A RISE and SHINE light breakfast will be served as we celebrate kindness, acceptance, and compassion together.
