The 11th Annual Senior Spelling Bee is being held on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Carl Shechter Southwest Focal Point Community Center, located at 301 NW 103rd Ave. This fun and challenging contest is for Center members, 60 years and older, and membership is free. Contestants are given a word, followed by the definition, and the word is also used in a sentence if necessary. First Place, Second Place, and Third Place winners will receive a cash prize and bragging rights for the year.
