Registration begins April 3, 2023 for the 2023 City of Pembroke Pines Recreation and Cultural Arts Department's Tennis Summer Camp at the Pembroke Lakes Tennis Center, located at 10500 Taft Street. The Camp is held in nine one-week sessions, for full-day and/or half-day campers, beginning on Monday, June 12, 2023 and ending on Friday, August 11, 2023. Space is limited. U.S.T.A. Certified Instructors teach camp, and camp is open to non-residents at no additional fee. Campers opting for lunch provided by Club 19 may order from the pre-set lunch menu. A pool fun time is available for campers who have passed the American Red Cross Level II Swim Test (present card at registration) or who wear a swim jacket. Campers are required to bring tennis shoes, tennis racket, swimsuit, sunscreen, water, snacks and lunch. Camp fees are listed below, with an activity schedule for the full-day and half-day camps. Full Day Tennis for children ages 6-14: The fee is $200 per week.. Camp Day: 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Daily Schedule: Arrival (8 am-9 am), Tennis (9 am-Noon), Lunch Break (Noon-1 pm), Tennis (1-3 pm), Pool (3-5 pm), Dismissal (5-6 pm).
Half Day Tennis for children ages 6-14: The fee is $150 per week. Camp Day: 8 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Daily Schedule: Arrival (8 am-9 am), Tennis (9 am-Noon), Lunch Break (Noon-1 pm).
Tennis instruction includes: warm-up, races and stretching; drilling on basic strokes; volley and serve; competitive drills and games; and match play.
