[ARCHIVED] Pines Day is Back!

Pines-Day-_web

After two years of waiting, Pines Day is back with a great celebration! All are welcome to help the City of Pembroke Pines celebrate its 62nd birthday on Pines Day, April 23, 2022 from 4 pm to 8 pm at the Charles F. Dodge City Center, located at 601 City Center Way. The long awaited birthday celebration will include musical and dance performances from local artists, free rides, free cotton candy, free popcorn, and a kid’s friendly business expo.  A Little Miss Sweetheart and Miss Pembroke Pines 2022 Pageant will also take place in the Commission Chambers with a rehearsal at 4 pm and the pageant beginning at 4:30 pm. Eight young ladies will be crowned and become the newest city ambassadors. And, a celebration wouldn’t be complete without the city’s traditionally fun cake cutting ceremony on the plaza for all to enjoy.  There will also be a free concert featuring the Sugarhill Gang known for the Rapper’s Delight and Apache (Jump On It) songs to add to the festivities. For Pines Days information, please visit www.pinesday.com or call the Special Events Office at 954-392-2116.
