Join the City of Pembroke Pines in honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday, January 17, 2022, 10:00 am -12:00 pm at the Charles F. Dodge City Center, located at 601 City Center Way which will host of the inaugural ceremony. The City of Pembroke Pines invites you to enjoy a morning filled with poetry, speeches and performances honoring the man who had a dream. Winners of the Student Poetry Contest will recite their winning entries during the event. Local officials will pay tribute to Dr. King, as well as local dancers and performers. A special performance from recording artist Mr. Sherman Woods and The Woods Gospel Band will be the highlight of the morning.
A RISE and SHINE light breakfast will be served as we celebrate kindness, acceptance and compassion together.
